摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester extra fine false twist yarn that maintains performance such as soft feeling, heat retaining properties, water absorption properties and hygroscopicity of conventional extra fine polyester false twist yarns and excellent antistatic performance and a method for stably producing the same. SOLUTION: The antistatic sheath-core polyester extra fine false twist yarn is a sheath-core conjugate fiber and comprises a core part made of an antistatic polyester A containing a specific antistatic agent represented by the formula Z-[(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)n(R<SP>1</SP>O)m-R<SP>2</SP>]k (wherein Z is an organic compound residue containing 1-6 active hydrogen atoms; R<SP>1</SP>is≥6C alkylene or substituted alkylene; R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom, 1-40C monovalent hydrocarbon, 2-40C monovalent hydroxy hydrocarbon or 2-40C monovalent acyl; k is an integer of 1-6; n is an integer satisfying n≥70/k; and m is an integer of≥1), and a sheath part made of a polyester B containing 0-10 wt.% of a matting agent. The polyester A and/or the polyester B contains 10 wt.ppm or less of metal element having a true specific gravity of not less than 5.0.
