PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocker arm assembly improving adhesion properties of DLC coating and base material, thereby preventing the DLC coating from being unintendedly peeled off from the base material, and improving wear resistance. SOLUTION: This assembly includes a shaft 8M at least of which axial direction middle part is hardened by heat treatment, an outer ring 9 positioned at an outer circumference of the shaft 8M, rolling elements 10 rolling between the outer ring 9 and the shaft 8M, and a rocker arm body 1 fixing the shaft 8M. DLC coating 12 is applied at least on the outer circumference surface of the shaft 8, and total contents of chrome and tungsten in the DLC coating 12 is set within a range of 5-50 atom%.
