<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a user terminal connected through a communication network to confirm an edition point by transmitting images for a predetermined period before and after the edition point, and to simply re-edit the images by optionally shifting the confirmed edition position by the user terminal as required. <P>SOLUTION: A video recorder 10 is connected to a relay server on the Internet, and edition work is carried out from a user terminal (particularly a cellular phone). When receiving a request from the user terminal, a network transmission/reception part 31 creates edition data 32 for network transmission being still images limited for a predetermined period before and after the edition position along dubbing candidate information 25, and transmits the created data to the user terminal through the relay server. The edition data 32 for network transmission are displayed on a screen of the user terminal as edited screen images of a program recorded by the video recorder 101.
