<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing information from being leaked by a surreptitious glance of an image read from a paper medium, or the like by a push-scan function by a third party. <P>SOLUTION: In an image read system, a scanner allows a user to designate a PC, namely a transmission destination of image data, and stores generated scan data into a RAM. A scan list correlating the PC with the scan data is registered in the RAM, and the PC is notified of information on the scan data. The PC informs the user of reception of notification. When operation for requesting the scan data is received from the user corresponding to the notification, a data request is transmitted to the scanner. The scanner transmits the scan data stored in the RAM to the PC, when receiving the request of scan data from the PC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
