摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily identifying asbestos from various materials in an environmental sample, which is generally considered to be difficult. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An analyte sample to be inspected is irradiated with a laser beam and fluorescence intensity of laser-induced fluorescence of an optional wavelength generated from a material is measured, the attenuation factor of fluorescence intensity every predetermined elapsed time is detected and is compared with a previously prepared attenuation factor of fluorescence intensity of reference asbestos every predetermined elapsed time on site, and it is identified whether the analyte sample contains asbestos.
