<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver for preventing a user from having a strange feeling due to the change of positions and shapes in the presentation areas of a video and a data broadcast when the reception of a full-segment broadcast is changed over into the reception of a one-segment broadcast. <P>SOLUTION: When the reception of the full-segment broadcast is changed over into the reception of the one-segment broadcast, the video presentation area Ri2 and the data broadcast presentation area Rd2 to be regulated by the broadcast wave W2 of the one-segment broadcast after the changeover are made to meet the video presentation area Ri1 and the data broadcast presentation area Rd1 of the full-segment broadcast, respectively, before the changeover. Consequently, even when the reception of the full-segment broadcast is changed over into the reception of the one-segment broadcast, the video presentation area Ri1 and the data broadcast presentation area Rd1 are used as they are on the screen of a display device 46.
