A method and apparatus for synchronization processing, wherein the method for synchronization processing includes that: the designated network element receives multiple data bursts of Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service MBMS service sent by its upper layer network element, wherein the packet in the data burst carries the timestamp information; for multiple data bursts whose timestamp information locates before the current available sending time, the designated network element starts to send the packets belong to multiple data bursts in sequence from the start time of the current available sending time. By the present invention, the synchronization between each down layer network element can be kept, and the performance of the system can be steadied.
