PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that increases an interest by visually stimulating a user in a unique map display mode. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a prefecture retrieved through processing in a step S204 is on the west side of a current-position prefecture acquired in a step S201 (step S205) to determine a display position (steps S206, S207). Once the display position is determined, an enlargement rate for the display of the prefecture is calculated in accordance with the number of photographing, and enlargement or reduction processing is performed (step S208). Maps of prefectures after the enlargement or reduction processing are displayed on the west side or east side determined in the steps S206 or S207 in order from the side closer to the current-position prefecture (step S209).
