Metal vaporisation, esp., of Al while utilising a vaporisation surface, involves the application of a layer that is so thin that the adhesion forces which take effect between it and the vaporisation surface are stronger than the force of gravity. Pref. the vaporisation surface is turned downwards and may comprise graphite, BN, TiC, or comprise Fe or Mo for the vaporisation of Ag. |
