PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shorts type disposable diaper which has wide size aptitude, is easy to help a person wear, generates suitable fastening force, and secures sufficient fitness. SOLUTION: In the shorts type disposable diaper 1, a girth part D includes girth elastic members 71a, 71b which are set on and fixed to a position D outward from both side edges of an absorbent body 4 in an extended state to generate flexible elasticity, and are not disposed on at least the center part of a position where the absorbent body 4 exists so as to generate flexible elasticity, and the ratio of width W2 of the absorbent body 4 to width W1 of the diaper product is 30-60%, and the ratio of set width W3+W4 of the girth elastic members 71A, 71B at a position D1 otuward from both side parts of the absorbent body is 40-95%.
