PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly eliminate image deletion, and to make an aging time get to the required minimum, by changing an aging operation time, in response to the occurrence level of the image deletion and the stoppage time of a device. SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: an image forming part 5, which includes a photoreceptor drum 52, a charge part 53 for charging the photoreceptor drum 52, an exposure part 51 for exposing the photoreceptor drum 52 to form an electrostatic latent image, a developing part 54 for developing the electrostatic latent image as a toner image, and a cleaning part 55 for bringing a cleaning part 55 member into contact with the photoreceptor drum 52 to be cleaned; a density sensor 7 for detecting the density of the toner image; and a control part 8 for controlling the operation of the device. The control part 8 forms a pattern image P for density detection on the photoreceptor drum 52 prior to aging at aging operation; a detecting element reads a density of the pattern image P; and the control part 8 determines the occurrence level of the image deletion, based on a read result and has the aging time changed.
