<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator that can be reduced in size and has satisfactory drive performance, and to provide a lens barrel and a camera that have this piezoelectric actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric actuator (10) includes: first piezoelectric elements (121, 122) polarized in a first direction (the direction of axis α) and able to be displaced in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction; second piezoelectric elements (131, 132) polarized in the first direction and able to be displaced in the first direction; and relative movement member (16) moved in the first direction relative to the second piezoelectric element as a result of displacement of the second piezoelectric element.
