<p>1-Phenylcarbamoyl-pyrrolidines - with selective herbicidal activity. Title cpds. of formula (I): (where R1, R2 and R3 are H or CH3, at least one being H, Z is O or S, and X and Y are H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halomethyl, CN or NO2) are herbicides (pre- or post-emergence) which show high selectivity and do not damage crops. They can be prepd. by usual methods of preparing (thio)ureas, e.g. by reacting an appropriate aryl iso(thio)cyanate with an appropriate pyrrolidine or by reacting an arylamine with an N-chlorocarbonylpyrrolidine.</p> |
