<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery equipped with superior input and output characteristics by using an easily graphitizable carbon in which the surface is covered with an amorphous carbon layer as a negative electrode active material of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and by optimization of a range of thickness of the amorphous carbon layer and a range of filling density of the negative electrode mixture layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery equipped with a positive electrode, a negative electrode containing the negative electrode active material and the nonaqueous electrolyte, the negative electrode active material is made of the easily graphitizable carbon in which the surface is covered with the amorphous carbon layer, and the thickness of the amorphous carbon layer is 0.005 to 1.5 μm. Moreover, it is preferably arranged that the average particle diameter of this negative electrode active material is 4 to 40 μm, and the filling density of the negative active mixture layer is 1.0 to 1.3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
