<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add a desired functional component out of functional components having various functions at a portion where it is easily operated. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device is equipped with a plane part 32 arranged adjacent to an operating surface 31 of an image forming apparatus 10 at a lower position than the operating surface 31, and a small-object placing member 40 on which a clip is placed is detachably arranged on the plane part 32. The small-object placing member 40 is equipped with a slanting surface 42 which recedes towards an inner side from a side of an operator who operates the operating surface. The small-object placing member 40 is made detachable, and a medium arranging part 70 that is another functional member can be arranged instead.
