<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply producing aromatic polyether sulfone particles having a hydroxyphenyl terminal group. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing aromatic polyether sulfone particles having a hydroxyphenyl end group comprises heating an aromatic polyether sulfone and a divalent phenolic compound or water and a basic compound and then precipitating the aromatic polyether sulfone particles in the coexistence of a surfactant. The composition including a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin alloyed with the obtained aromatic polyether sulfone particles provides a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin alloy extremely excellent in mechanical characteristics, heat resistance and electrical characteristics since the aromatic polyether sulfone particles are finely dispersed into the polymer matrix or further dispersed into the form of nano-sized particles.
