<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray device useful in a game machine which is changed to smoking and non-smoking even if the structure of the ashtray device is simplified and the number of components constituting the ashtray device is reduced, and to provide a game machine using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ashtray device includes an ashtray body having a bearing for turnably supporting the ashtray body on both side faces, a flange approximately projecting on its rear face concentrically to the center of the bearing and a pawl engaging notch that is mounted on the flange and controls the turning of the ashtray body. An ashtray attaching part includes a revolving shaft engaged with the bearing of the ashtray body and an engaging pawl that is engaged with the pawl engaging notch of the ashtray body even if the ashtray body is arranged with laying either one of its ash receiving part or plane part upward. Either of a first and a second notch faces constituting the pawl engaging notch is a curved surface chamfered against the flange and the other is a plane perpendicular to the flange.
