<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the measuring method of magnetic field strength, to be more in detail, the measuring method of magnetic fields in the write-element of a magnetic head and in the vicinity of the write-element, and a measuring device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic field strength measuring method for measuring the magnetic field strength of the write-element of the magnetic head, the prescribed write-driving current is applied to the write-element, a magnetic sensor is arranged proximately to and facing the floating plane of the magnetic head, the prescribed regions of the write-element of the floating plane and the vicinity of the write-element are scanned and the magnetic field strength is measured, or the magnetic field strength of the prescribed positions of the write-element of the floating plane and the vicinity of the write-element is measured.
