<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in the display quality in a display device that provides a first image in a first observation region and a second image in a second observation region. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of electro-optic elements E are disposed on a display panel 10, according to intersections of a plurality of scanning lines 12 and a plurality of data lines 14; the electro-optic elements E including a plurality of first image display elements E1 displaying a first image GA and a plurality of second image display elements E2 displaying a second image GB. The first image display elements E1 and the second image display element E2 are connected in common to each of the plurality of scanning lines 12. Driving of each element is controlled to alternately repeat a first period when the first image display elements E1 necessary for displaying the first image GA are driven and at least a part of the second image display elements E2 are not driven, and a second period where the second image display elements E2 necessary for displaying the second image GB are driven and at least a part of the first image display elements E1 are not driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
