<p>Devices and methods for detecting at least one flow characteristic of a fluid, for example, found at a single location in a subject and/or found between two locations in a subject. Devices include an elongate member and/or an external member for detecting the flow of fluid using electromagnetic wave emission, reflection, detection and/or signal processing to determine a flow characteristic of the fluid. Provided are devices that include a nasogastric tube for determining nearby flow in the thoracic aorta in order to determine placement of the nasogastric tube in the esophagus and methods for determination thereof.</p> |
