Disclosed is a label printer which can correspond to labels having various widths as much as possible a label and can hold a label on a rod-like member so that the label can be easily handled by a user while the paste-applied surface of a label after stripping thereof being surely prevented from sticking to the surface portion of the printer body. The label printer (1) strips a label (L) from the pasteboard of a label paper and issues the stripped label from a mouth (2) for issuing a label and includes a label receiver (10) below the mouth (2). Rod-like members (11a-11c) of the label receiver (10) extend in the feeding direction (A) of the label (L) from a point below the mouth (2) and are arranged in the width direction (B) of the label (L). The movable bases (12a-12c) and rails (21, 22) of the label receiver (10) so support the rod-like members (11a-11c) as to be capable of adjusting the positions of the rod-like menbers in the width direction (B) of the label (L).
