<p>Disclosed is a whitewater park and whitewater park systems. A recreational waterfall system for traversal by watercraft that includes at least one headgate to produce a surge of water over a waterfall and to limit access to the waterfall by watercraft. A recreational watercraft launch that accelerates a watercraft while traversing said waterfall and a downstream crest a variable exit geometry causes the watercraft to be directed in an upward direction. A recreational waterfall has water flowing over a crest with variable cantilever determining a distance from the edge that the water flowing over the crest impacts water in the pool.
