NEGATIVE RESIST COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative resist composition for a color filter, having excellent pigment dispersion properties and excellent alkali developing properties and enabling the color filter to be formed in a thin film shape.

SOLUTION: The negative resist composition for the color filter has a pigment dispersant (A), a red pigment (B), an alkali soluble resin (C), a polyfunctional monomer (D), a photoinitiator (E) and a solvent (F), wherein the photoinitiator (E) is a compound represented by general formula (IV). In the general formula (IV), R13to R26each independently denotes a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a ketone group, an aromatic group or an aliphatic group.
