FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst for purifying exhaust gas. A catalyst is described, containing: a substrate; and on the substrate, at least a first catalyst bed, containing a cerium oxide - zirconium dioxide composite based carrier which is a Pt or Pd carrier; a second catalyst bed, containing a carrier which contains zirconium dioxide in amount of 60% wt/wt or more, where this carrier is a Rh carrier; a diffusion barrier layer placed between the first catalyst bed and the second catalyst bed and containing metal oxide, wherein this diffusion barrier layer contains CeO2 or La2O3, and thickness of this diffusion barrier layer ranges from 20 mcm to 50 mcm. ^ EFFECT: prevention of movement of metallic catalyst between layers at high temperature and retention of initial characteristics for long period of time. ^ 8 cl, 3 tbl, 6 ex, 2 dwg |
