PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making iron silicide nano-wires. SOLUTION: The method for making iron silicide nano-wires comprises: a first step of providing a growing device comprising a heating furnace and a reacting room; a second step of providing iron powder and a growing substrate and placing the iron powder and the growing substrate separately in the reacting room; and a third step of introducing a silicon-containing gas into the reacting room and heating the reacting room to about 600-1,200°C to thereby grow iron silicide nano-wires on the growing substrate.
