摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the traveling time, increase the frequency of train running and enhance the transportation capacity in addition to ensuring safety by improving a delay in response to a thrust command. <P>SOLUTION: When a zero thrust command is given to a brake controller 5 from an automatic train operator 6, a VVVF inverter 3 is made to output an exciting current to keep a main motor 2 in a state ready for starting operation quickly, and at the same time, an air pressure at a level not generating an actual torque (initial setting pressure) is given to an air-controlled brake device 4 to keep it in a state ready for starting operation quickly.
