<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for maintaining the comfort inside a room even without the provision of a dedicated discharge vent. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes an indoor unit casing having vent outlets 224a, 224b formed therein, flaps 222a, 222b for switching between a first airflow direction for blowing air in a first airflow direction range B1 and a second airflow direction for blowing air in a second airflow direction range B2, and a controller for determining whether the temperature inside the room has stabilized, and in the case of a first condition in which condition the temperature inside the room has not stabilized, the controller controls the switching of the flaps 222a, 222b so that the first airflow direction is achieved. Additionally, in the case of a second condition in which condition of the temperature inside the room is stabilized, the controller controls the switching of the flaps 222a, 222b so that the second airflow direction is achieved. A second airflow direction A8 closest to a wall face which is an airflow within the second airflow range B2 is an airflow directed further toward the fall face than a first airflow direction A6 closest to the wall face which is an airflow within the first airflow range B1. A second room side airflow direction A7 which is an airflow within the second airflow direction range B2 is an airflow directed further toward the wall face side than a first room side airflow direction A5 which is an airflow within the first airflow range B1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
