<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm valve device which is used over the long haul even if used outdoors and further is reduced in weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first housing 11 and/or a second housing 12, which are provided with a valve seat 17 between an introducing opening 14, and an exhalent opening 15, are made up of a metallic material. Besides, a diaphragm 3 supported in a sandwiched manner between the first and second housings 11, 12 is made up of a flexible material more excellent in electrical insulation than metal. A sealed portion 30 is formed in an entire circumference of the diaphragm 3 along a periphery of the diaphragm 30d.
