<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The roller has lamella-shaped carrier elements (21) divided over circumference of hubs (11, 12) and extending away from the hubs in a radial direction. The carrier elements are arranged on an outer surface of the hubs not-parallel to a rotational axis, where free ends of the carrier elements are rotated against base points. The carrier elements are beveled or bended at the free ends. The carrier elements include recesses (24) at a region remote from the hubs, where the carrier elements are made of stainless and heat-resistant spring steel. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Transport roller for transporting of a plate-shaped substrate i.e. flat glass, to a perpendicular position in a vacuum coating installation. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The roller is designed such that the carrier elements exhibit small cross section in a direction of heat radiation, thus blocking path of heat radiation from a heat source to the substrate. The carrier elements exhibit high carrying capacity and reduced bearing pressure, such that the substrate is transported in a gentle manner, thus preventing damage of edges of the substrate, while reducing polygon effect.
