摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of bonding and assembling a to-be-coated article which comprises applying electromagnetic-wave energy rays to an adhesive by a simple method utilizing a coating discharge hole formed preliminarily in the article and ensures a chain hardening reaction through the application of energy rays. SOLUTION: Electromagnetic-wave energy rays L are applied locally and directly to the adhesive cross-linking portion 13 through an electrodeposition coating discharge hole portion 7 of a vehicle member 4 to harden the adhesive A by the energy rays L and thereby produce a cation and a hardening reaction heat Hr. The hardening reaction heat Hr causes parts adjacent to the hardening reaction heat Hr applied with the energy rays L to initiate a chain hardening reaction and allow the chain hardening reaction to proceed to both ends of the adhesive cross-linking portion 13. The chain hardening reaction induces a chain hardening reaction of the adhesive A between joint flange portions 3a and 4a to be bonded to both the ends of the cross-linking portion so as for the adhesive A between the joint flange portions 3a and 4a to harden in a chain manner.
