<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform measurement by facilitating a remote operation from a remote controller in the operation of a laser survey apparatus by one operator independently of the skill of the survey operator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The survey system includes a survey apparatus 1 having a function of tracking a target and the remote controller 16 remote operating the survey apparatus at the side of the target 13. The survey apparatus includes measurement parts 21, 25, 27, imaging parts 22, 23, a first wireless part 33, and a first control arithmetic part 29. The remote controller includes a second wireless part 37, a second control arithmetic part 35, a second display part 18, and a second operation input part 20. The survey apparatus transmits image data obtained by the imaging parts to the remote controller via the wireless parts. The remote controller receives the image data via the second wireless part.
