<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing of a hydraulic clutch and a manufacturing method of the housing wherein even if a housing cylinder bodies 12L, 12R are integrated back to back with each other, the strength is not reduced to form a rigid housing 6. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pair of housing cylinder bodies 12L, 12R made of sheet metal are integrated back to back with each other, respectively provided with clutch plate holding parts 16 and piston holding parts 17. The respective housing cylinder bodies 12L, 12R are provided with radially extended vertical walls 20, and cylinder walls 22. Each cylinder wall 22 is axially extended through a bent part 21 at a radially outside end of the vertical wall 20 to form the clutch plate holding part 16 and the piston holding part 17. A radially inside end 29 of the vertical wall 20 is joined to a clutch boss 7.
