<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device capable of improving contrast ratio and to provide an electronic device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrophoretic display device includes a pixel electrode 63 provided on an element substrate 66 and having an opposing face opposing to a common electrode 64, the common electrode 64 provided on an opposing substrate 67 and having an opposing face opposing to the pixel electrode 63, an electrophoretic layer 70 nipped and held between the opposing faces and including white-colored particles 73 and black-colored particles 74, and a light transmissive bulkhead 65 provided by tilting for the opposing face of at least either of the pixel electrode 63 and the common electrode 64.
