A content display system (1) comprising a plurality of displays (2) and a display controller (4) for managing and controlling the displays. The display controller includes: a priority detecting section (32) for, when detecting the use starting operation of an arbitrary display out of the displays in standby, detecting the priority corresponding to the standby content screen of the display ended corresponding to the display associated with the use starting operation from a priority management table (24); a switching display target specifying section (33) for detecting displays which are displaying standby content screens with lower priority than the standby content screen with the detected priority and specifying a display which is displaying a standby content screen with the lowest priority out of the detected displays as a switching display target display; and a display control section (34) for switching the standby content screen whose display has been ended by the display associated with the use starting operation to the specified switching display target display to display it thereon.
