<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer ripping data of digital data to an external memory without interrupting reproduction of the digital data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A digital data reproducing device is provided with a read-out part reading out digital data stored in a recording medium with faster speed than reproducing speed and storing it in a first memory, an encoding part storing the encoding data obtained by encoding the digital data read out by the read-out part in a second memory, a reproducing part reproducing the digital data stored in the first memory with the reproducing speed, and a transfer part transferring the encoding data stored in the second memory in a third memory other than the second memory.
