The brake has a brake piston (5) subjected to service braking by a hydraulic pressurizing medium so that the piston is operated for achieving a braking action along a piston longitudinal axis (A). A parking brake acts on the piston by a transmission (1), while the transmission converts rotation movement of an electromechanical actuator (7) into translation movement. The transmission has a lead screw (2) and a threaded nut (3) standing in contact with each other by rolling members (4), which are led to a plastic or metallic roller cage.
