PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of improving riding comfort on a vehicle. SOLUTION: The shock absorber D1 includes a cylindrical outside member 1, an inside member 2 to be put in and out of the outside member 1, and a seal member 3 for sealing the outer periphery of the inside member 2 or the inner periphery of the outside member 1, whereby developing damping force to suppress the movement of the outside member 1 relative to the inside member 2. Herein, to achieve the above purpose, an adjusting means 4 is provided for adjusting the fastening force of fastening the inside member 2 or the outside member 1 of the seal member 3.
