PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge panel which is not changed with time in operation voltage and ensures high stability of operation with a long lifetime. SOLUTION: In the gas discharge panel 100 which has a display surface side substrate 101 and a rear surface side substrate 106 which are opposed mutually via a discharge space 111 and has transparent electrodes 102X and 102Y and bus electrodes 103X and 103Y composing a display electrode, a dielectric layer 104 covering the display electrode, and a protective layer 105 covering the dielectric layer 104 on the display surface side substrate 101, the gas discharge panel is characterized in that photocatalyst material fine particles 120 having at least a particle diameter of not more than 1μm are arranged on a surface of the protective layer 105.
