PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire allowing improvement of rubber intrusion property and anti-fretting property, improvement of belt durability and obtaining of superior track wandering property. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire has two or more layers of belts reinforced by a steel cord 10. The steel cord 10 has a 1+6+n structure having a core 11 constituted of a wire for which spiral molding is performed. In the spiral molding, spiral amplitude H and core wire diameter dc are 1.05≤H/dc≤1.2, spiral pitch Pc and twisting pitch Pi of an inner sheath 13 are Pi>Pc, an angleθformed by a twisted angleθ1 of an inner sheath wire 14 to a steel cord shaft and a twisted angleθ2 of an outer sheath wire 16 to the steel cord shaft is≤10°, cord strength is 1800N or more, and cord bending load is 11N or less.
