Method for determining characteristics for construction of a component and device containing such a component

The method involves providing a sensor for detecting dynamic variables at a component of a device e.g. land vehicle, in a direct or indirect force coupled or force-fit and/or form-coupled or form-fit manner. Measured values e.g. steering angle, are detected from the sensor during application of the device in a designated usage. The component and characteristics of the component are dynamically simulated by a simulation model e.g. multibody simulation model. Load and/or measurement relevant characteristics of the component are derived from the detected measured values by the simulation model. An independent claim is also included for a device e.g. land vehicle, comprising a sensor.
