PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of simplifying the composition of pixels, improving operation speed and reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: The display device is configured such that a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix shape are formed on a display region of a substrate, memory parts for retaining data written therein are disposed on the pixels, a scan signal is supplied to respective pixels arranged in the row direction from a common scan line and a video signal is supplied to respective pixels arranged in the column direction from a common video line, wherein a supply of the scan signal to the scan line is performed via a vertical address circuit or a vertical shift register circuit, and a supply of the data to the video line is performed via a horizontal scan shift register circuit.
