A brake assembly and footwear including the same are provided, which enable to easily stop rotation of wheel although a small power is applied and prevent safety accident. A brake assembly comprises: a base member(160) stopping rotation of wheel; a friction member(170) which is combined with the base member around the first axis and in which one side comes into contact with the rotating wheel; a lever member(180) which is rotatable around the second axis line and is provided with the external force through one side, and in which the other side comes into contact with the other side of the friction member; and an elastic member(192) which elastically presses the friction member in the first rotational direction the contact of wheel and friction member is released. |
