<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-primary color display device capable of combining and displaying two images without exerting an influence on color reproducibility of the images with simple device constitution, and a color conversion processing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-primary color display device using four or more primary colors, image data input to an image processing device includes a part to be displayed in an area RGN1 on the display screen of a display device 20 and a part to be displayed on an area RGN2 on the display screen. The image processing device performs color conversion processing so that the same color can be reproduced in combination of primary colors different from each other in the area RGN1 and the area RGN2 by utilizing the degree of freedom in color conversion of multi-primary color. Since the color of the image displayed on the display device 20 looks a single color for human eyes, the two areas RGN1 and RGN2 cannot be discriminated. By performing filtering processing using a filter through which only light of a specific wavelength band is transmitted to the display screen, the two areas can be discriminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
