An information processing apparatus and a data security method for a portable storage device using the same are provided to generate a common key between the information processing apparatus and the portable storage device, thereby accessing data stored in the portable storage device without inputting a password every time. A memory(40) stores a common key for a portable storage device(200). The portable storage device is connected to an interface(10). A processor(20) accesses the portable storage device to process data. An interface controller(30) produces the common key with the portable storage device and stores the common key in the memory and the portable storage device. |
