<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a temperature in heat treatment and shorten a time for it for forming a glass seal section in a gas sensor with a glass seal section. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes a sensor element 10 having a detector 11 for detecting a predetermined gas; a housing 20 in which the sensor element 10 is inserted and arranged so that the detector 11 is exposed to one end side of the housing; a glass seal section 50 formed with a glass material, for fixing the sensor element 10 to the housing 20; and a first ceramic member 51 located at the opposite side to the detector 11 of the sensor element 10 toward the glass seal section 50, in which an end of the ceramic member is buried in the glass seal section 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
