PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging method, an imaging apparatus and a program for reducing power consumption in writing and reading by a storage medium, by reducing the size of the storage medium that stores image data before development. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a line memory controller 121 for writing first image region data of an amount less than the total storage capacity of a line memory 122 among image data output on a line-by-line basis from an imaging device 102, to the line memory and reading the first image region data from the line memory storing therein the first image region data; an SDRAM controller 140 for writing second image region data besides the first image region data among the image data to an SDRAM 142 and reading the second image region data from that SDRAM storing thereon the second image region data after image data are completely output from the imaging device; and a line memory controller 121 for writing the second image region data read from the storage medium to the line memory.
