PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional control valve capable of gradually carrying out opening and closing operations in opening and closing a discharge port. SOLUTION: In a sleeve 5 has discharge ports 37A and 37B connected to a hydraulic cylinder 11, a spool 41 having a hollow chamber 45 having a discharge-side outlet 57 connectable to T ports 39 arranged in the sleeve 5, and a discharge-side inlet 55 connectable to the discharge ports 37A and 37B rotatably arranged, and shapes of the discharge ports 37A and 37B are nearly oval to gradually carry out opening/closing operations when the discharge ports 37A and 37B rotating the spool are opened and closed.
