<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability without increasing costs, while manufacturing a magnetic domain moving means, a reading part, a writing means, or the like in the same process. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic recording device includes: a magnetic thin line 1 comprising a ferromagnetic material and recording a plurality of data by moving micro magnetic domains; a reading part 4 reading the magnetization directions in the micro magnetic domains in the magnetic thin line 1 from the magnetic thin line 1; a writing means 2 writing the recording data in the magnetic thin line 1; and a magnetic domain moving means 31 giving a drive pulse for moving the micro magnetic domains of the magnetic thin line 1. A parity data Px is added to row data in the magnetic thin line by the writing means 2.
