PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror cabinet which permits a weight reduction and appearance improvement to be made while using a metal having stiffness, chemical resistance, and cleanability, and a washstand. SOLUTION: The mirror cabinet 200 includes metallic first and second substrates 220, 222 arranged on both sides of a mirror 210, core materials 230, sticking sections 232 installed on the fronts of the core materials 230 and sticking the mirror 210, an upper cap 240 installed above the first and second substrates 220, 222 and having nearly vertical ribs 240a engaging and fixing the upper edge of the front of the mirror 210, and a lower cap 250 installed below the first and second substrates 220, 222 and having vertical upward ribs 250a engaging and fixing the lower edge of the front of the mirror 210.
