#CMT# #/CMT# The machine has traversing devices (3) to change threads (1) to be spanned in a spool axis direction. A pressure roller (4) fits the changed threads at a spool (8). A sensor (17) e.g. triangulation sensor, directly or indirectly detects position or length of tubes (9). A positioning unit (20) adjusts position of the traversing devices in a spool spindle axis direction depending on a detected measuring value from the sensor.
